Just relocated to the Boston Metro West Area
« on: June 03, 2012 - 09:18:42 AM »
I relocated to the Boston Metro West Area last year and now I have moved my car to the area.  In the process of restoring the car now that we have a house. I need to find a place that can do some engine and body work near Mass 90 and Intersate 495.  Also looking for places that have car shows also.  Thanks   :working:

Welcome to the area, like Jeff I am in SNH but dip over the border when I can for shows.

Thurs nights at Kitty's in North Reading is in the area for me and a pretty good show shine with food and music.

I hear the Foxboro show is excellent as well and large.

Welcome to MA!

I heard Reids Automotive does good work, never had any experience with them but I hear the name among car guys here.  They are in Whitman, MA so actually not too close to 495, more south shore.

http://www.reidsautomotive.com/

You can also check out the MassMopar.com forum for good sources for body/engine work: http://massmopar.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl

Here's a list of Car shows around the area: http://www.bostonautoshows.com/events-calendar.htm

There is one in Marlboro center I think in August or so.  Couldn't find any info but I think they close off Marlboro center and and have decent cars there.  It's close to 495/90, sort of.

Check out this list too: http://www.carshowfinder.org/events/sho-car-association-rod---custom-nationals_563.htm

Kimball Farms has a nice car show, it used to be Thursdays but I think it's fridays now: http://www.kimballfarm.com/cruise.shtml

I just looked at the pic, what in the world is parked to the right of the yellow Barracuda near the front of the pic?!!?!?!?!  :clueless:

1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Pic #2 and 3 of my ARII 1/24 scale model car

Phil in New England-Massachusetts  Always thank God for what you have!

Welcome to Mass. There is C3 Automotive in Foxboro, Chris is a real good guy. Also for car show don't miss the Bass Pro Cruise night every other Thurday night at Gillette stadium rt 1 Foxboro. They get an average of 2000 cars and a couple hundred bikes. They broadcasted this cruise all over the place.

Greetings from Cape Cod!

Don't forget the Father's Day car show in Hyannis too!

How do I know which Thursday is the "other" Thursday at the razor?

Mmm, Kitty's!! Lobster pie is to die for.

To All ........ Thanks for the info.  Now I have a place to go get my Mopar fix.  When I lived in Delaware I would go up to Carlise each year to look.  I would dream when I got to the E-Bodies.  I have a 70 r/t ragtop e-body.  I've had this toy for 20 yrs but it has sat in a garage for the same amount of time due to kids, college tution for kids and honey do list for the wife I now have a chance to restore the car.

I will checkout the website that were provided and try to attend the car shows.  The car shows will give me a chance to explore the area.  Since I live in Hopkinton I will try to get down to the Foxboro shows.

Again thanks to all for your input.

Thanks CudabeforeIdie, but I'm not into firearms.  The only firearm that I own is a old BB rifle that I had growing up in Augusta, GA.

I also have a 70 challenger vert, if I ever get it done maybe I'll get it to a shoe sometime. I'm on the northshore, not too far away from where you are.
