Front center speaker

I have speakers mounted in my kick panels, could I mount some kind of base speaker in my dash where the center dash speaker was? What size base would fit in there? Thanks

I recommend a kicker 6.5 shallow competition sub. I ran on in my jeep in the factory sub location. It is the perfect size and has great power/ quality sound from such a small sub. Make an adapter plate to bolt it in and enjoy

Am I missing something here? The factory center speaker was a 4x10. I've heard of people fabbing plates to mount two 3.5s" but nothing larger.

Similar principle to the dual speaker adapters for the 4x10's. Machine an adapter ring or cut one from sheet metal and bend for structural support. I can draw a diagram if that helps. It's going to be a while before I do audio in my car as I'm still on body work. I'd be glad to help with instructions though.

I'm attempting to retro-fit a pair of 4 inch coaxials into the dash opening. I'm going with the Morel Integra Ovation 4, as they can deliver the bass response near tat of a 6.5"- and I'm not going to put anything in the doors or kick panels. I am going to do some minor alteration to the metal frame section just inside the opening and minor sanding of the underside supports of the top speaker grille so it still can be used and look factory.

A pair of Morel Tempo 69c's in the back, amplifier and maybe a small 10" sub in the left rear corner.
