70' Challenger Headlights (secondary/interior)
« on: June 07, 2012 - 06:24:39 PM »
Howdy guys, just wondering what the secondary headlights (the pair closest to the grill) on the 70 challenger do and how to turn them on.
The outside pair seems to be both low and high beem and i cant seem to turn the inside pair on.

You should have a foot switch on the left of your floorboard.  Press it in with your left foot, and presto. It's near the left kick panel.

Thanks for the reply mate! I do indeed have the switch, which flips on the high beem but both low and high are the exterior bulb. I can't sort out what the second set of headlamps does.

The second set of lights should also come on with your foot switch.

Maybe they are burned out, or someone altered the wiring.   :dunno:

They are the high beams. As mek says, the foot switch. If they don't come on, see if they are burned out, or the foot switch doesn't work properly. :2cents:

You guys were right on. I thought it was a bit funny that both lights were burnt out but sure enough. Found some replacements (harder than i thought!) and bam!
Cheers!
