1972 Dodge Challenger Rallye 340, AT, Code TB3=Super Blue, SBD=8/17/1971.  Yes, a Rallye without the fender louvers from the factory because of the body side molding option.

Well, at least the tractor gets to stay in the shed. I would like to see it now if he had stuck it in the barn.

It is sad to see cars left out side to rot away. If it cost so much to repair and he needed all his money for his farm why didn't he sell it to some one who could use it instead of leaving it out side to die a slow death.

I didn't read the story but just from the looks of the car I have a similar story. I came across a 1963 Corvette Roadster with a hard top, fully optioned, about 5 years ago in Rio Grande, NJ.  He is the 2nd owner and bought it with 4k miles on it.  He lost interest in it, got overweight and couldn't get in it to drive it anymore.  Long story short his son didn't want it and he just let it sit outside un-covered at the Jersey shore. It now sits about 6 inches into the ground.  I ran the numbers and it is well optioned.  He has all kinds of crap stored in it also. I asked if he would ever get rid of it and he said not right now.  Well when?  It is probably to late as it is.   :banghead:

Cool story, does sound similar.  Must be a Vette thing...  :dunno:

If you're in the area, would be interesting to see if it's still around.

I have a house down at the shore so next time I go down I'll try to go by and see if it is still there.  Maybe I can stop and take a pic again and post it.  Would be nice if it is gone and he tells me someone is restoring it.
