Hi all
I'm no front end geometry expert to say the least. I'm about to install the moog offset bushings. The instructions don't seem to jive with what I thought I was buying them for. ie positive caster. Just to be sure, I'm installing these to effectively move the upper ball joint towards the rear of the car...right?

That's the way I take it, I imagine the bushings could be used to correct other issues.

yes , the front bushing should push he arm out more so the tube through the bushing should be further away from the ball joint , reverse for the rear bushing.

Thanks for the replies B & CP. I think Moog just envisioned the bushings being used for camber adjustment.

You know, I put anti sieze on those bolts 20 years ago, which was the last time I changed the control arm bushings. That made removing the eccentric bolt/washers VERY easy. Total time (Car was already up on stands) to remove both brakes, release t-bars, remove rotors, split the uca's from the knuckle's with a p-fork and remove the cam bolts and remove the uca's, .....less than an hour. Very satisfying when everything goes smoothly.

Very good advice - anti-sieze is your friend. pushed the cam bolts out with my finger.

Don't install them as in the MOOG instructions!!!!

I believe this is how they should be installed to get the result that you want. The bushings were originally designed to correct for accident damaged cars that had bent shock towers, and the instructions were to get you to the STOCK alignment specs.

Install them like this to get the result that you're looking for...
