Get into EFI at Carlisle
« on: June 12, 2012 - 07:23:04 PM »
I'll be doing two sets of EFI seminars at Carlisle on Friday and Saturday July 6 -8. The sessions will be an introduction to EFI and then a "getting started". Come on down and ask all the questions you want!!!

In between, I will be available to tune, or touch up, any FAST EFI Mopar.

Where exactly will you be having your seminar on the fairgrounds?

Not sure yet.  Ed (the manager) is deciding that today, but it would most likely be under a large tent so we have some breeze.  I will be doing the same 2 seminars on Friday and Saturday.

I'm looking at the FAST controller to build a custom hidden ( somewhat)  EFI set up with this STR-14 intake.

The gasket came with the intake. It's junk though , hard as a rock and very brittle. I wouldn't use silicone on anything that see's fuel. It turns to jelly. Use Permatex gasket maker, better stuff!
The tops are interchangeable? On mine anyhow? Depends on what base you have.

My tuning input and assistance is free assuming there is nothing wrong with the installation and the tune just needs to be "tweaked".  I'll connect to your ECU, look at the program, and make suggestions and/or changes as required.  But if we go on the road and do drivability adjustments then it's a function of how much time we spend at $100 per hour.

i had 2 STR intakes . a 6 pack and a 4bbl. the 6 pack top wouldn't fit on the 4 bbl bottom and the 4 bbl top wouldn't fit on the 6 pack bottom.
the bolt holes on the front and back of the intakes were different. the sides matched up though.

thanks for the permatex tip  :2thumbs:

Thanks for the info, I'm thinking it's time to switch over to the xfi from my AEM box sadly I made a poor choice 4 years ago, and thought MOPAR made a good choice in selecting this box. I like the new updates fast has made.

I'll get back to you.

That's weird? :clueless:  I just checked mine and both lids fit on the base? (6 pack and single 4 bbl lids)
Are you sure they are both STR-14 intakes ? One of them might be a STR-15?  There is also a  dual 4 bbl version called the STR-14-8 that the base and lid are different.
I started a post awhile back trying to learn what I could about them.

Rich,  I hope to see you there. I told my another user here "sprecks" (Jay Sprecker) about your site a couple of weeks ago at Monster Mopar Weekend in St. Louis. I found out that he just got his EZ-EFI from you yesterday. It'll be on his hemi-Challenger convertible soon!  I'll be getting a couple of computers from you soon too, to convert my systems over to FAST.
