The real question is... How was the BBQ?  what did you get? pulled pork, ribs, or brisket? what sides did you have? black eye peas, & collards, i hope!

Well in NC, pulled pork is king, but I got the "Pig out special"....pulled pork, a few ribs, wings, corn, fried okra, hush puppies, fries, and sweet tea! And dodj yeah I was thinking about that, the tank is new though? And like I say, both times it ran like a top for a while, then pulled the dying stunt

Okra!   :puke:

We had a really good barbq joint in Dennis MA, "Oinky & Moos" it was terrific, had the old fashioned wood smokers out back, etc.
But this area is all seafood so they were gone in a year, what a shame.

Appreciate it! I always liked the look of the flat black hood, so I said hey, why not?  And yeah got those cragars off a guy who had em on his old fury, and didn't run them anymore.  I really like the look of em. Old school mod.  They are hard to find not eat up with rust! You got some good looking chally's yourself!

Not to criticize but I think I would do the hot rod black around the headlights too this would give it more of the 70 look

19. Bought the car for 1500 bucks when I turned 13 with money i made from sellibg firewood. Did all the work myself on it except sheet metal installation and tranny ebuild. Good to finally get some fun out of it. And learned a WHOLE LOT. Heck doing another challenger would be considerably more easier now that I know how it comes together.  Worked on some other restorations along the way. A n 1890 washibg machine, a 73 Bug, and "tricked out" my daily driver 98 Ram a little. One good part is now all the buddies want stuff done to their vehicles!

make sure you charge them  :naughty:

it's great to see the younger gen getting into the olde muscle cars. but i will say this, you lucked out
with getting you car for $1500. people are ridiculous with how much they want for empty shells
now a days.  i paid $2800 for my '74 which was a non-running forgotten project that i had to drag home.
lots of parts missing too.

Yeah I was blessed. Got involved in the local mopar club and a guy had this abandoned rallye out in front of his shop. Gave me a real good deal even though every piece of sheet metal had to be replaced besides the engine bay, firewall, doors, roof, and rocker panels
