    Not sure if a rebody is needed? But it will definitely need a lot of the external sheetmetal + rear rail sections.
    The car is a 383-N code, slapstick auto, B7 Jamaica blue, white top, medium blue interior. Trunk luggage rack, AM-8 track, stripe delete, hood tie downs (Rallye no Shaker)....I will try to get the car into a roller status & re-evaluate it before deciding what to do with it. I REALLY wanted an ebody ragtop - I'm sure I will try to convince myself I can do the car - but reality might set in soon-after :)

    Ha...let me try again....I would never rebody a car (period) but I was responding to a previous post saying the car sounded so bad that that was the only way it could be restored. It's not...the exterior panels are bad but I've seen much much worse overall.

    Sounds like quite the project, but if you have the ability to do all the work yourself this may work out. In the end you are going to have a real bs27 that you know what is under the shiny paint. Good luck!

    I'm either ALL IN on this or not at all.....worse cars have been restored but this is in the "not for the faint of heart" category...

    Wear rain gear.....Pretty much what I expected it to look like. The cowl looks a little crunchier & twisted up though then I thought.

    Worth saving, but man, a ton o' work there.

    Try to save the cowl and the top part of the radiator support.  Got pics of the VIN tag and fender tag?

    I think it's worth no more than $10k.

    It'll take $50k easy to restore it (including much of your labor for assembly/details), so it'd be a labor of love and not an investment.

    Go for it if you can!  Save her!

    Some serious work needs to be done but you can buy about everything you need to get it back to where it was originally.  Nice thing about E-body's is almost everything is available for a price.  I like that it appears to have been an air conditioned car and like the huge drum brake on the front.  Two things my convertible shared with the one your thinking about when I got it.

    [/quite] not the one from florida. The florida car was a 318 wth no fender tag that was basically broken in half sold for $4500 first round this is a much different car real bb Cuda with fender tag worth $7500-$10000 once he makes it a roller. maybe miré
