Wow!
Thats all I can say.

i'm gonna sit on the other side of the fence for this one.  :sly:

it still amazes me how mopar guys TOTALLY RIP into people for wanting to do something different with THEIR cars.
truthfully, right now I'm totally bored with all the stock cars. oh, hum, another completely restored mopar, yawn.........

yea, i got one, and right now it ain't seeing much road time either. i'm having more fun with the hot rod.

so don't put him in front of the firing squad just because YOU don't like it.

remember, it's his, not yours.

I have these pictures saved in my photo file of that car.  I can't remember where I got them.  It is an interesting car and in my opinion looks better than most of the "moderized" cars lately.

On another note, my brother drove a 1976 Monza Spider in high school and still has it in storage.  It was pretty fast for it's time with the small block 305 cid V8.  The engine was in so tight that he had to cut a hole in his fender to change one of the spark plugs...

Yah, I was going to rip him a new one, but the odd thing is, the more I actually look at it, I almost kinda like it!  Looks like some real quality work.

Not what I would do to a muscle car, but then again it's not mine. I do have a bit a of a soft spot for 4wd conversions though being the only vehicle I've ever been airborne in was one. When I was in high school a friend of mine put a 68 Camaro on a K5 Blazer chassis and was not afraid to drive it hard. It is a totally different feeling blasting though the mud in a "car". It had custom plates that pretty much said it all- CRITTER.

That car's been around for awhile now, I've got a few pictures of it saved myself. I think the pictures I have are a few years old, so good for him to be driving it still.

Definitely not something I'd do to a '71 Challenger 'vert, one of those deals that just makes me think "why?".  But I don't like the 'verts anyway  :grinno:. More power to him for doing what he wanted and not listening to every other numbers matching, nut and bolt resto guy out there.

I'm pretty much with you. It's not my thing, but it's also not my car. IF he enjoys it, more power to him.

There's a guy who's got an 80 something vette on a blazer chassis who drives the thing two hrs to and from our local cruise in.  Like this challenger, not my cup of tee but I can appreciate the workmanship.  Now a pinto or a gremlin on a bronco chassis,  that's the ticket!  ;)

That is stupid beyond belief.   :banghead:

It looks like that was an actual 'vert at one time.  Sad.  Should have just taken a hardtop and cut the top off.  I mean, it's not like this guy goes four-wheelin' in that thing (hello, no roll bar???).

The time, money, and effort into building that thing is what's amazing.

Oh well.
