It's a waste of time and a waste of a good car.

I believe that except for the sedan roof, the entire car is made up of AMD reproduction pieces. So it actually is not Chrysler in origin and indeed is a phantom car. No Barracudas were hurt in the production of this vehicle.

Dave,
I don't consider anything a waste of time if passion and challenge is involved. I think it's great to see something new and different. I think you should highlight as many repro pieces
as you can but they should be the ones that offer the best quality available today. Keep up the good work and no need to tell you it will look great once done.
As a side note, I have been using RPM now for almost 3 months and I am simply stunned. I purposely left parts in a humid and sometimes wet environment to see how well
it would stand up and I am amazed. Not a single sign of surface or flash rust. Congrats. All bare metal parts in my restorations will now have RPM on them.

One aspect that has been a GREAT contribution has been the assistance of a good Friend named Bill Embree.  Bill is a life long retiree of the St. Louis Chrysler Assembly Plant.  He actually helped assemble the Bodies that came down the assembly line back in the day.  He has been a wealth of information concerning the engineering for how the components went together.  It is really special having Bill involved and doing what he did for Chrysler 40 some years ago.  Even though he was building B Bodies, it is nostalgic to have a real Assembly Line Chrysler Employee involved with this E Body project! :2thumbs:

That's a treat  :2thumbs:

Now you will know exactly how to install the nut on a string or marble in a Booz bottle trick that somehow appeared on some cars back in the day...

I tease  :poopoke:  I love how accurate you are trying to make this creation and can't wait to see it completed.

More pictures please.

Wow Dave, that is outstanding workmanship on those panels and complete car in general.
Some highlights about your motor are small font used in the stampings. About 30 days later they went to the larger font.
Barrel is about 1/4 inch longer than later barrels. This made the internal parts longer ( rotor and stator) added more torch to the motor.
NOS switch plate , NOS green gasket, NOS gear and shaft and  soon to come NOS plug as I see yours got damaged in shipping.

So, how much original metal has been used on the car so far?

One possibility: if it's being shot under fluorescent lights, they have a green cast. If the camera is trying to compensate, it might be tending toward magenta.
