Well at least it's back home. But damage is pretty extensive. I think a new piece of crap may have left some casualties.

The wierd thing is some of the stuff that wasn't damaged...like the rad and lower valance(considering the front bumber was ripped in half). The marker light on the rear passenger....almost every part on the car seems to have some damage to it though. At least the stuff that would have gotten some money back for me anyways.

Definitely hurt for a long time on this one.

It is messed up pretty bad underneath. It pushed the passenger frame rail  over about 2" and the frame rail is twisted down it's length. It practically ripped the passenger spring and mount off. It is parts now...what few there are left. Don't think it would hook straight anymore

Fired right up though.

The driver(my son), hit about 3 poles.

Bout the only thing you could do is make a pro streeter out of it or chassis it for a drag car. I hate seeing old muscle going out this way  :(

The car is a mess and unless you're very skilled or wealthy, she's a goner. However, after getting your face wiped off from puking about your car and after you cuff the kid up side the head; get on your knees and thank God, that you can buy another Challenger, but you sure as Hell can't buy another son!! Look at the bright side, it's Son-1 and Challenger-0 and remember, it's just a car, it'll never tell you it loves you nor give you a hug. God bless.

I have a friend where I live with a custom jeep,LT1,Dana's, full fiberglass, etc. he told his son not to take it out when he was out of town. Long story short, he comes back to a rolled over jeep.
After the cursing and near death experience for the son, he took it as an excuse to build it bigger and better.

Ah - it would appear then that I am wrong!  I hope it can be repaired and that your son is okay.

A frame machine and a skilled bodyman can fix it better than new but might not be worth the money it would cost.

My son is fine. Thank You.  He was knocked out on the wheel and had a bruise on his head, his buddy had to go to the hospital to be looked at, and had some cuts from the glass I assume.  They did want my son to go to the hospital, but he refused, and really was only worried about what I would do to him when I found out.

All in all lost a car, and a lot of money, but everyones alright, and hopefully learned a lesson or two. Just goes to show you have to be prepared for anything, bcause how quickly things can happen.

If I had the money or place to do it, I would see about fixing the car, but not an option for me.

I guess I may look into cost to backhalf, full tub, etc as this was a future plan. Car seems easily/cost friendly repairable from about mid point forward. Even then , there are a few rollers on racing junk for under $10,000. Just won't have that originality anymore.

See what happens, I guess.  Certainly won't be rushing into anything.

Thanks everyone.

That'll take at least $30-40k to fix if you take it to a body shop/frame shop.

I wouldn't bother if I had to pay for it myself if you can't extract any money out of the bastard.  Part it out and find another clean e-body, which I think you can get for $25k.
