Looks great...You're making me want to put my "day two" Cragers on my car now :banghead:

That was my friend's thought.. He bought a new '71 Challenger in this same color, but it was a 318 auto car. So, he's reliving his youth a wee bit, albeit a  notch or two up from the 318 model he had then...  ;D

I'll have to download the videos from my phone unless this link works...

Oh Lordy... No clue.... The car was painted 9 years ago, we started putting it together.... BUT, right after we started putting it together post-paint, he bought a boat !!!!!   That was the end of the 71 for a LONG time...

There are blemishes here and there that will be addressed after his trip to "Cruisin' the Coast" down in Miss in Oct.

Well, today was a good Mopar day...

Started with putting/modifying the fender emblems to facilitate installation. They are the versions with the 3 studs. There was no way I was going to drill holes. So, I cut off the studs and ground them flat. Then, I use the rear window strip. I used the heat gun to make it softer so I could spread it over the backside of the emblem better... Then I put the pentastar on.

Then I added some things from Jaime at MegaParts; the proper radiator overflow hose, tranny linkage clips, tranny cover and various other things....  Tweaked the timing a little and adjusted the idle and kick-down throttle pressure.

I put the front plate bracket on..... Don't fret about the horns.... As soon as we get OEM originals, they will be added..... These are for safety for now......

Hoss-man got the air cleaner powder coated and the lid chromed..

Does the car have the original fender tag or BCS ? I'm wondering about the interior code. ;)

Nope... Unfortunately, the bastard body man who did the car 9 years ago was an illegal ( obviously no one knew that before he took the car to him to paint ). Immigration found out about this dude and Hoss gets a call from this jerk's brother stating Hoss had better come and get his car..... Well, by the time Hoss got there, the jerk fled the country ( with all his equipment and tool boxes and anything else in the dumpster ). As per the story, you can sort of tell where the tag is ( no clue now ).... I told him, poor soul, to keep that thing at home.......... But, it is what it is........ The seat were like this when he got the car some 12 years ago......
