    I saw Vanishing Point when I was about 11 or 12 (11 years ago) loved Challengers ever since.
    Wasn't until I did some internet research that I discovered it had a cousin - The 'Cuda.  :D

    Low wide aggressive approach, Buldge hood, the lines, THE LINES!!  :grinyes:


    Never in all my days would have thought I would be driving the car I am. God Bless the US for making these cars!!  :patriot:

    i didnt see vanishing point until after i bought daisy girl, but ill say, if i saw that movie when i was a kid, i might own a different car today.

    though actually yesterday i considered selling that to get a challenger again.  i wanted to try something a little different, thinking a challenger would be the same as the charger with a different body, but i really want one...

    It was the sleak body lines, powerful V-8's, Pistol grip shifters, sleak door handles, and just all-around sweet styling for me.  I can't wait to get mine together now!!  Look what this thread has done! :eeksmall: :wasted:

    My Mopar love affair started with the General Lee (of course!). I think I was about 3 or 4 when it first came on the air, and my Mom said that I used to watch it after I had my bath and got into my pyjamas. I'm still looking to purchase one, someday...

    I actually came across the Challenger by accident. In 1997 I was looking for Chargers in the the Auto trader when I came across a 70 Challenger with a transplanted supercharged 360. Very sweet looking car. Asking a bit much for it though. But the lines and the look of the car hooked me. It was shortly after that I found the ad for my 71 R/T in New Hampshire and bought it soon after that. That was Sept. 13, 1998. The resto has been in progress ever since.

    .. didn't even know what a freakin E-body was.. but my bro had a 71 barracuda in the early 80's. It was a plain jane 318.. but it looked really cool. He eventually bought a 71 340-4 spd shaker cuda.. so I proudly inherited the 71 318.  :tongue:

    I had it when I was a senior in HS.. and although it had mass quantities of bondo & wiring was less than desirable.. It was still a head turner. I eventually wanted to upgrade to other projects. Only after driving many other cars.. I realized how cool the e-body was.  :worship:

    I finally decided to go & get my dream car again.. before I was priced out of the market. I can always tell the real e-body fans.. they drive the car instead of trailoring.  :coffee:
