I agree a lot with what's already been said.
I got my car because I always l knew that I wanted a muscle car, but I wanted one that had some handling. That limited it for me to GM F bodies, Mustangs, and E bodies: The Pony cars basically. Cougers, Javelins, etc are nice too, but there's something special about an E body. Just the way it sits maybe, it's mean and fast looking sitting still. Muscular lines, buttt up in the air like it's ready to launch.
Maybe because growing up we had some Mopars and got Mopar in my blood: '68 Plymouth Fury Wagon, '69 Chrysler Newport, '74 Chrysler Town & Country wagon, '76 Dodge Aspen.
Definately true: there are a lot more Camaros and Mustangs on the street than you'll see Ebodies.
When you see a Camaro or Mustang, there's always that possibility of a straight 6 under the hood. I saw a beefed up '68 Camaro with huge tires in the rear on nice Crager S/S rims and thought it looked really mean, but when I saw the single exhaust that wasn't loud I figured it to be a 6 cylinder!
Most E bodies roaming the street will more than likely have some sort of a V-8 under the hood. This adds to the "muscle" in "muscle car". Finding a Camaro or Mustang from the factory with a big block is not that common on the street, but if you see a '70-'71 Ebody there was a good possibility of a big block engine.
