I consider myself to be pretty young. What I mean is, I never owned an E-body in school, I didn't grow up in the 70's and my buddy or a guy I knew never had one.
But my uncles did, and they were all Chevy guys except 1. And even with all the jokes back and forth between Chevy and Mopar, the one thing they all agreed on was that my uncle Mark's Cuda was the hands down fastest car ever.
When I started with cars it has always for the most part been Mopars. First learning that a 360 in a '77 Aspen can spank any of you buddies rides at the time was great, and then progressing to the Coronet I had.
I did have to sell it, and when the time came that I had the money, I began my search.
I looked at Chevelles, Montes, Camaros and even GTOs, but as I "researched" the E-bodies, I had to have it.
The fact that I have 1 of about 12 E-bodies in the area ( my brother has #2 ) makes it all the better.
When I first saw pics, I knew this was "the car".
Even though I still get A LOT of "nice Charger", I just grin knowing that I have one of the rarest cars in the town.
And there is a lot to be said about showing up to a car show and living in a major city and 2 other cars similar show up.
