« on: July 05, 2012 - 01:20:25 PM »
I need to remove the door glass from my 1973 Cuda to prepare it for the paint shop, I have no idea where to begin, any suggestions or exposed diagrams would be helpful.  Everything else has been removed just need to accomplish this last item to get her painted. interior has been complete removed, along with front and rear windshields.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT remove the track assembly.  There's no need to remove it unless you have rust issues to fix around it.  The glass is easily removed.  There will be one bolt with a spring on the back side of it that holes the glass to the track.  There will be a second bolt that holds the crank mechanism to the glass.  That's it.  The glass comes out the top/side.  The plastic upstop doesn't need to be removed.  The glass will slide out the larger opening at the front of the quarters that is covered by that large rubber end seal.

It would help to read the question a little closer.  You need to remove the door glass...not the quarter glass.  Sorry

if you don`t lift the front rail with the glass, it`s gonna be tight and there will be tension on the glass. The window felts will have to come off too.  Don`t break it...

Thanks for all your help,  I am glad to say the passenger side front and rear glass is out along with regulators, took many pictures of the disassembly and parts. Getting the front regulator was hardest part couldn't figure out  it came out through the top or bottom access hole.
