Turns out a Newb isn't so new after all!
« on: July 08, 2012 - 05:36:23 PM »
Well for those of you who didn't make it to Carlisle this year, we had a bit of a surprise to share!

It turns out that my wife - Mrs. ViperMan to some, is actually Oh10Challenger, who introduced herself here: http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=82669.0

That's right - when the opportunity arose in February to get her a new car, we found her a beautiful, blue 2010 Challenger SE Rallye.

She's loved driving it around, and there was no doubt as to whether she'd show it off at Carlisle this year!

So here's the proud new owner on the fairgrounds!

(and yes, she made extra effort to park next to MEK both days we were there!)

2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited - Trail Rated - 4.7L V8, Auto
2010 Dodge Challenger SE Rallye - 3.5L V6, Auto (Wife's!)

Very nice!!  Speaking from experience, you'll either be selling it or you'll be driving it in about a year, what with the new addition to your family.  (Congratulations!!)   My ex-wife had a 91 Tbird when she had our son.  After about six months, she got tired of her back hurting every time she had to get him out of the back seat, so I sold my just-paid off truck, bought her a wagon and started driving the Tbird.  Which wasn't so bad; it was a nice car.

Yeah - I must admit I was bummed to learn of the news right after we bought our third 2-door car.  She's already been talking about trading in for a 4-door, but her work schedule isn't as stable as mine, so I'm going to be making the daily daycare runs.  So even if we sold the Chally for a four-door, we'd still have to buy ANOTHER four-door for ME, and that'd just be silly.  So I've told her that I want her to keep her car, I'll make the daycare runs, and the Viper will sit and collect dust for a few years.  :walkaway:
