Sorry for all of the questions about power to manual disc conversion on my 73 Cuda, but I've come across another thing that has me scratching my head.
Look at the attached pic. The topmost studs (see red arrows) come through the firewall and go through the reinforcement plate. Thanks to your help, I was able to find some repro wire brackets that bolt to the plate, but now I'm wondering about the studs themselves. Looking at my Cuda (which has factory power disc brakes), I see the head of two studs, but they go INTO the firewall (not outwards like in the pic). I also noticed that the studs on my Cuda go through the pedal/steering column brace and are held in place by Keps nuts on the inside of the firewall.
So my question is - what do the studs in the pic attach to? Is there another set of holes in the pedal/steering colum brace? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
