Lamp over Ac Controls Stays On
« on: July 17, 2012 - 05:08:09 PM »
I have a problem with the lamp located just above the AC/Heater controls in my 70 Challenger. As soon as the key is turned on, the lamp illuminates and stays on whether the lights are switched on or not.
Is this normal or have I mis-wired something?

Dash dimmer circuit? Do you have a picture or diagram?
Thanks so much!

Somebody could have changed the terminal on the heater control light from a male to a female and plugged it into the B/U terminal of the wiper switch. I've seen that before. (Must have been a Chevy guy) That would do it.

all of the orange wires behind the dash are dash lighting through the dimmer
