New here from NC...
« on: July 17, 2012 - 07:53:09 PM »
Hello all!
You guys are going to have to settle for a B-body guy until I get and build a 1970 'Cuda... My daily driver is a 1968 Satellite droptop, retroactively fitted with a 1971 440 6BBL, 727, 8.75 with 3.23:1, older partial resto that was originally LL 1 Surf Turquoise Poly )I have found the upper right corner of the build sheet) but is now an interesting orange.

Good to meet you all!
Don

Welcome welcome!!! I'm also in NC, located in the high country.  If ya anywhere around that area I know some Mopar clubs and stuff like that.  This is the website to be involved with for sure!  :rebel:

Hey, thanks guys!
More pics will follow, but I am not planning on the full teardown until next year (going to finish up my GI Bill at the Hot Rod Institute in SD). Going to keep driving it like I stole it until then, or until I get tired of the weak valve springs and the rear main seal slow leak. I have some pics up from before I bought the car, is it okay to post my website URL here? I have my personal photoblog site at: http://acmeobservatory.org

Going to do a full build journal once we get going on it.

NCtrueconservative, I'm down between Pinehurst/Aberdeen and Raeford, say 25 or 30 miles from Rockingham. Going to check out the Cape Fear guys ASAP.

Thanks for the warm welcome!

Thanks all! I love the B-bodies most, but that 1970 E body shape is an exception I will gladly embrace.

Welcome, Don. My first Mopar was a 69 Sport Satellite, and aside from the pee yellow paint it was a great car. I'm always reminded of it when I see one like you.

Hey Hud, thanks! Uncle Sugar doesn't get to send me out of country anymore... I got out finally in 2005.

Mark, thanks!

BTW, is anyone going to Mopar Week at Myrtle Beach? Taking mom, my sister, and my 2 nieces from the 8th to the 12th.

Don.

P.S. just got through with a quickie blackening of the grille (in between monsoon outbursts).

Hey, Don!  Welcome aboard and good luck finding your 'Cuda.  Regarding your '68, the only problem I see is that you have not posted enough pictures of it!  Got any more?  Cuz, as you will soon know, we love pics!
