It is a real bummer that the values of these cars have dropped so much, but reality is something we have to deal with. We all wish our cars were worth more but the sad shape of the market makes this car compared to some other deals out there and recent sales way to exspensive.....http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=85827.0;topicseen...This one prob sold in the low 30 high 20s?  desirable T/A as a comparison.

Yes, the TA with the non-original motor is a nice car - but I see a lot more of those being sold than big block cars.

If someone wants to make me an offer - call Bryan and he'll answer your questions, show you the car, and if you're serious - show him the money or proof that you can back your offer up.   I'm not going to negotiate with anyone who can't prove they're a serious buyer.

I dunno; I think $52k is pretty fair considering it is a six-pack shaker car; however...that column automatic kills a lot of interest.  Then there's the F8 color.

It's got docs to prove the shaker, which is a big plus.  I like the car, but if not a 'vert, I gotta have a four-speed in a hardtop car.

You know, I was never a big fan of the color on this car originally, but I've never had a car get more compliments.   I guess its the metal flake in the paint or something, but I think it looks great and I get tons of "wow, nice car" comments.    I know my wife would never ride in the orange cuda I used to have, but she'll ride in this one.   And my daughter loves it!   I think its maybe the color appeals to women more - and its not the expected Muscle Car day-glow color.    I think because its unusual that it gets a lot of attention.

A note - only the pics at my dad's house are from 2008.   The other ones are from this spring.

I was curious about that myself, but the broadcast sheet has it as a 60 code - which is part 2998960.

My guess is that the 26" was an extra cost option and "momma" probably didn't think too highly of that  - OR - the dealer just was trying to keep the price down.

Yep, when I replaced the cracked dash, I got the damn thing put back in and realized I hadn't put the plate on.   No change in hell that I was going to take it out again OR that a rivet gun would get in there.   And I wasn't going to take the windshield out.    It was hell enough trying to get these threaded and down - I actually had to heat up a screwdriver and bend it - then one quarter turn at a time.

You can fix it when you restore it.

Sorry, but setting a "buy it now" type price opening reserve is the same has having a reserve.  A no reserve auction is just that, a real no reserve auction.

Good luck with the sale.  Cool car. :2thumbs:
The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Hey, I just found a link to another website - that actually has photos of some other 6 pack Cudas with a 22" radiator

Darn, guess there goes the extra $50,000

I don't quite understand what you are saying,  I'll pretty much take anything over $47,000, but if someone loved the car so much and didn't want to do the auction chance of losing it, isn't that what the Buy it Now is for?

My expectation is that people who didn't want to pay the $64,00 would bid.  Isn't that how it works?

(Obviously the first time I've ever tried to sell my car and first time on ebay)

R4, don't take observations so personally.  I think you just need to be prepared for anything when members or potential buyers comment on your sale.  I see no problem that you started bidding at X price and show a Buy it now price.  It can be a problem for you when you mention your reserve price in your description.  What that tells a buyer is "don't spend more than $52K."  Keep the reserve to yourself and let the bidding go wherever it goes.  You can either accept the last bid or not.  You may get a buyer who will not care about the negatives, nothing is perfect, but if someone does care, explain why without being defensive.  I have seen too many sales lost because of sellers being defensive.
There will be a buyer for your car, just have to be patient.

I was saying all shaker cars came with the 26 inch radiator I did not say it was all six pack cars.

As far as the VIN rivets/screws. I'd take them out and glue/epoxy some rivets on there.  That's what I did when I swapped dash pads years ago.  I drilled out the old rivets fr the backside and just glued them back on.

What I would do is sell it for a fixed price of $49k, and have a "MAKE OFFER" button.

Thanks - I am just trying to be honest and tell someone what I would want to know.    I understand what you are saying about the $52,000, as basically that's the figure I want.   I just figured the $64K was for someone who wanted to snatch it up and be done with it.      You've helped me understand the process better and I've removed the reserve in total.
