    I find myself bouncing back and forth constantly on what I would prefer for my car. I'm anxious to see if I am the only one.  I'm interested to see what some of you are thinking. I find new engines everyday so if you would like something that isn't a choice let us know. it may give us some insight and knowledge.  I hope to learn something.


    If you would prefer a 340, since it is not an option, tell me why, and if you would do anything to it?

    I checked everything with Hemi in it! It's always been a dream of mine to own one... best engine ever made in my opinion! Big fan even of the modern production hemis if you would even count them.  There all just so damn expensive! It would be nice to have a 426, maybe it's the just the nostalgia, or the look of the spark plugs through the valve covers i don't know

    My dream engine would be a stroked, aluminum, low-deck, b-block.  Give me a 470+ cid that weighs less than a small block chevy.

    340's are lighter and take up less room then the BBM.
     
    Cost less to build then what I voted for, a Vintage 426, Hemi

    I agree. A good tuned stock 383 will stand its ground with all stock 4 barrel big block Chevys and  440's. The power curve is differant and most drivers won't  use the 7 grand mark on the tach.............440 will pull to 5500 rpm a 383 will pull to 6800 rpm all day long....

    right there with ya. However this is a dream engine so I went with my 383 based dream. I love my 383 that I have in there but dream of doin something wild with one

    Basically whatengine goes with your car? If I had a 440-6 pak or hemi car I would go stock if it isn't then I would put in a new SRT8 motor.
