anyone know if is there any tire mfg. producing 14'' tires that would be speed rated for 150 + mph ? i have been told the polyglas bias belted tires were rated safe when new on the 70's cars. i guess , i really wonder how safe are the repop poly glas tires made today .

The cars that race in the F.A.S.T series are required to run on the repro polyglass tires. The quickets cars in the class run high 9's at 139mph. They are plenty safe at those speeds...in a straight line.

...for sprints of less than 10 seconds. If you were running at a sustained high speed venue, not sure I'd want to trust them.
