No luck, I started calling/emailing some local engine builders (thinking maybe rebuilding one would be cheaper) and not even getting any responses.....oh we'll I will keep searching I guess

The original poster said he had some left did you check with him?

Yea he has them for 7250..these motors retailed from mopar for 5250.00 I'm not going to pay that..that's why I don't have one yet :)

I talked to some guys yesterday that said if you buy that motor you better order a cam shaft because it has major problems with drive ability..playing hell to tune it..John's cuda has the first 426 engine Mopar made and it has the original cam and has no problems.
Correct, But I would go through any crate motor that Mopar sells, even though they dyno their motors no dyno sheet is attached to them, Mopar's quality control is terrible, If you are hell bent to get a crate motor, buy it thru a reputable retailer .

I started a thread the other day where I found a used one for sale in s.carolina, good price like $3500.00
