oil pan with baffle

I have a couple of big block oil pans, one with baffles and one without. The one without baffles is about an inch deeper than the one with baffles. Which is the better pan and do you need to run a windage tray with an oil pan that has baffles?

I have a baffled Milodon oil pan on my big block without a windage tray and it's my understanding that a windage tray isn't really necessary with the usage of a baffled pan. I've never had any problems with my setup.

I use a windage tray as it serves a different purpose form the baffles , the widage tray keeps the oil off the crank , the baffles keep the oil from sloshing away from the pick up tube .
both capacity & baffles are important so I would say the deeper pan with baffles would be the best choice .
