Headlight Bezels
« on: July 29, 2012 - 07:36:23 AM »
Who does the best job on restoration of headlight bezels for my 70 Challenger R/T/?. Got the typical dings and dents. It finally time to get them done. Before and after pictures would be great.

I plan to use the folks at MCB Restoration when my car gets closer to that stage.

Look into how good the repops fit.  I'm sure they will be a lot cheaper then having the original ones redone "correctly".  MCB won't re-anodise them.  They will just pull out the dents and polish them.  They may come out looking good...they may not.  If you don't have them re-anodised, they will tarnish very quickly.  Re-anodising is very expensive.

That's the first I've heard of that.  It looks like they send it out to someone else for reanodising.  That must be something new because they didn't offer that in the past.  They redid my grill and lower valance mouldings a couple years ago.  They looked awful when I got them back.  They were filled with pits.  Instead off calling me to say the parts weren't going to look good, they just did a quick polish and sent them out.  I've since bought a new grill moulding but the lower one isn't repopped any more.
