Removing steering column can?
« on: February 18, 2005 - 10:56:13 PM »
The wheel is off, never had to remove a can before, how do I do that without damaging anything. It looks like it has to be pulled, but I thought I should check with those more experinced than I before doing that. Any reinstall tips for later while I'm asking?

Yep needs to be pulled.  I would try to protect the end of the shaft as so not to damage any of the threads.

:iagree: I have a small wheel puller that fits inside the can. Some of the cans are on fairly tight.
