Wire harness
« on: July 30, 2012 - 06:53:02 PM »
I have an aprox. 10 foot long harness with 2 wires, one black and one dark green, with a tee female plug on one end and female plug for the black wire and a female spade for the green wire.Harness number is 2889614 and 26243.I believe it goes to the back of the car.Not sure what it is for.My car did not come with many options.

Rear speaker.

If it's only 2 wires, it's for a mono rear speaker set up.  I think I have one I'll try to find a picture for you to compare

Here's the picture:

It might have had some shielding around the harness.  Mine doesn't have any part number tags

It should have an R11 on the fender tag for an AM radio.  The rear speaker itself isn't on the tag, it's listed on the broadcast sheet in the radio group.

Fender tag does have R11.No broadcast sheet in my car.Interior had been changed from Burnt Orange to Black.Original radio is missing and bezel was cut years ago for a replacement.
