Hey guys,
I'm real excited I just had my new 5 horse, 60 gallon Quincy compressor delivered Friday. I do have a question though. My previous compressor was a 7.5 horse 80 gallon Campbell Hausfeld which I never had an issue with and was about 10 years old. Long story my neighbor wanted it back.
Obviously my electric panel was hooked up correctly with the black and red to the breaker in the panel and then the ground since it's been working fine for 10 years. I figured the hook up would be the same. However the directions seem to be a little different. I'm sure it's because it's newer. So I just wanted to make sure I got it right. I've attached a copy of the directions along with a picture. It looks like I splice my red wire into their red covered (white) wire. This covered red wire is seperate and coming from the motor. And then attach my black wire to the far left screw terminal after I attach a wire spade to my black wire. Then the ground. Do you guys see anything different? Am I missing something? Thanks
Dave
