Gear Vendored 727 and a sure grip

Hey guys the trans guy I use to build my tranmissions was going to put a 4 pinion piece in place of the 3 to handle more torque for my stroker. I have decided to try and get a gear vendor unit and I am worndering will ths enhancment be necessary with the gear vendro unit or is the combo of the 727 and gear vendor bullet proof on theyre own. Also I am curious what all could be added to a sure grip pumpkin to make it more durable, also if I have a 323 unit is it possible to buy parts for 410 unit or is that alot of work for what your getting? Also how hard are 410 units to find? Thanks guy!

the 4 pinion planetary is always stronger , it makes nop difference if the GV unit is behind it .
 Buying a set of gears is no issue , you will need to get them for the carrier you have & have them set up correctly , billet caps for the ring gear & sure grip may increase strength

Right now I dont have a sure grip, hell I dont have a car either. I am selling my 72 chally to get a 70 cahlly or cuda. Is there a case I should go after? Should I take the sure grip from my car and put a one legger in the roller just to sell it? I can get a one legger for rather cheap. Would that be better than buying a brand new unit?

the 742 is generally the best , it has clutch sure grip & no crush sleeve , the 489 has a cone sure grip & a crush sleeve so it is much weaker .
 You could swap out the one you have for an open unit

What about a 741? Are they generally stronger than most rear ends?

741 is the weakest of the 4 , it has the smalll 1 3/8" pinion
