OK basic front suspension lifting question on Cuda
« on: August 02, 2012 - 05:17:16 PM »
I put a hotchkis front suspension with magnum force drop spindles and some wilwoods on a 72 Cuda. How do you lift if back up?? Which bolt do you turn to lift?? I know its a basic question, but I know nothing about Mopars :) Can you send a pic?? text to me if needed, I will post it up 650.291.1551 is the number.. I know people say the torsion bar.. But what and how?? I know on the lower control arm the is a 3/4 inch bolt that I can move up and down, is that it?? Do I move the shock struts?? :clueless:

Thanks

Kevin

Yes, it's that 3/4" bolt sticking down from the lower control arm.  Take the weight off the tires before attempting to turn it though. Turn one full turn, drop the car and bounce it to settle, repeat until its where you want it. However, check the height to the wheel well openeing before starting. If you change it more than 1.5-2", you probably will wqant a new alignment as well.

Yes, very important. It sounds like a rifle shot when the bolt erases the threads in the swivel. I know from experience... :banghead:
