Car spotting
« on: August 03, 2012 - 10:28:10 PM »
How many of you guys are into car spotting?  I'm a delivery driver, so I get paid to drive around and be nosey. Just today, I spotted a couple of Dusters, both blue, one a race car, the other a 70 340 car, behind someones house. In the past three weeks, I've spotted 5 A bodies and a couple B bodies, but no E bodies. I used to know of a 73 Barracuda, 318 car with the Cuda hood, and a sunroof. Does anybody out there know how rare that combo is? The car disappeared when the farm was sold. There used to be a few Cudas floating around, sitting behind a house, but a local guy here likes to buy up cars, slather them with bondo, and then sell them before the paint has had a chance to dry, He likes to sell these cars as far away from home as possible. Do you guys see many cars just sitting, forgotten?

I always get a kick seeing an old muscle car, especially around where I live there aren't too many.  Lately seen a '69 Firebird, '72ish Mach 1.  Not much else...  :walkaway:

Every time I'm out I keep my eye's open.

There is a 69 440 Charger TX9 sitting for years near by..

The sunroof barracuda is very rare.

I would love a sunroof!  Sometimes I think I wouldn't mind cutting a hole for an aftermarket one but then I ususally come to my senses...

I love hunting for cars.
Me and a few of my friends will drive around different towns in Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, etc.
We love to take pictures of the cars and talk to people.
It's hard to find e bodies though.

Sunroof is really quite rare. One year only as I recall.

Got any pics?

I drive a concrete mixer truck all around the valley here.  With this higher point of view I am able to see over most fences and into the back yards and lots that a lot of people can't see. And I am always looking for those cars tucked away in some back corner.  Have seen a lot of good project cars around, inclueding a few E-bodies stashed here and there.

As much as all the members know that come around out here in the hill countries. My area is full of all types of old cars. But some seem to think even a 4 door is Barret Jackson material.

I drive around quite a bit for work and whenever I go on trips, I'm always looking for classic mopars . Saw some guy who had a bbody and a 72 Charger in his yard yesterday, stopped but couldn't get in to look closely because he had his driveway roped off.
