Engine Bay Wiring Route
« on: August 06, 2012 - 11:59:34 AM »
I am looking for any info and good pictures on the correct layout of all the wiring in the engine bay and clips and what not that hold them to the inner fenders and fire wall.

Have complete new wire harnesses and the car never had wiring in it when we got it so starting from scratch.

What car?  Year?  Engine?  Electronic ignition? Options?  (A/C, cruise control, ect...). Wiper motor? (2 speeds, 3 speeds, variable). Automatic or manual?  Driving lamps? ('Cuda only). Give us those details and maybe someone here can help you better...

Sorry I sure blew it on that post  ::)

1971 Cuda - Hemi - No Ac - 3 Speed wiper - 5 Speed Manual - Driving Lights.

I do have all the wiring diagrams, more interested it proper pracement of clips that hold wire harness, ground wire, things like that. Hard to see that stuff in a line drawing.

I see you made some modifications, (5 speed transmission). Are you running an electronic ignition or the standard breaker points?  If you are using the Chrysler ECU ignition, your engine compartment won't look original, but, somebody can post pics from a 1972 'Cuda and you will know where to install the ECU box with bracket. I will lokk in my books to see if I can scan something for you.

Yes, doing away with the points and going electronic. Have the harness for electronic already.

Not a 71 Cuda but a 70 Challenger might get you going in the right direction.
