727 kickdown linkage
« on: August 06, 2012 - 02:56:52 PM »
Hey all.

I was hooking up the trans linkage this weekend and ran across a snag. This is an engine/trans from a motor home. I'm not doing much other than detailing so I kept all the linkage.

The kickdown rod installs correctly but because of its various bends, hits the firewall (body seam) when actuated. So the motor home rod won't work. Any recommendations of where to go from here? Looking for simple. I'd prefer to just get the right kickdown rod since I could install it without customizations. I'm using the pre-existing thermoquad if that makes a difference.

Thanks again.
