Looks like a lot of work . Good luck putting it together, I imagine all the extra space will be very nice to have.

It's always good when the lady approves, really nice that she'll help too  :woo:.

Thanks guys for the nice comments.

SLAB IS DOWN!  Waiting on the bleed water and will be spending the day finishing it to a perfect flat polish.

There's lots of codes in our county, but the shop is 100% properly permitted and engineered.  As much as I like working with my hands, my day job is computer graphics / signs.

I'll post some photos tonight once I'm done....  :bananasmi:

Geez,

I don't even have a garage of my own, and you are building the Taj Mahal of shops?

Congrats Cody! I hope it all goes well for you.   :bigshades:

Wow, what a long day.  Started in the dark and with the help of my wife, dad and some friends we got it all done.  It went really well and the slab looks so perfect.  I've got the joints cut in and it flooded now (and it will stay flooded for 7 days. )  I'm going to sleep good tonight!  :faint:

Maybe I missed it, but what is the square footage of that monster garage going to be?  Finishing that slab is probably the hardest part.  A nice piece of property to build on!

The 1st shop is 3,000 SF and it's used for restoring cars.  This new one is 5,000 SF and will be used as a place to store finished cars and a man cave.  You're right about finishing the slab.  Not an easy job, but it's done and I'm excited to be framing!  :clapping:

Man, the time you took to lay your foundation took less time than it took for me to build my tiny 8x10 shed.  :faint:
