wife's 68 fastback came with a 69-71 3:54 sure grip E-Body Dana.....any ideas on value

You can buy a brand spaking new one from DrDiff for under $2000 so , me..... I'd say 1k? But I'm not a numbers matching kind of guy?

No e-bodies in 69, so it would be a 70+?  Also, I thought they had to be modified to fit in an a-body.  Are the perches the same from a-body to e-body?  Is your modified?

A body perches are 43" center to center E body is 46" center to center. the housing is a good bit wider on an E body as well. time to break out the tape measure

Let me clear this up a  little.....  the guy I got the 68 from raced it, it was a /6    he put a built 360, reverse man. valve body 727,  drive shaft loop, and an E-Body Dana.... has class winner window sticker from Lebanon Valley Dragway

thats a good find right there. i have been to lebanon valley dragway several times its a very nice track.

When I was looking for one for my car.  Most true E-Body Dana's were advertised anywhere from $1800 to $2500.

I was hoping $2200.00 would be right..... we don't NEED a Dana in the 68 so we could sell it, get an 83/4 and some other stuff

A guy we know who sells parts at Carlisle and the Nationals each year sold the E-body Dana he had at the Nationals for $2,200 - so that seems to be about the right price to get it moved.
