Opinion Needed

My wife is torn between a flat black hood stripe or a dark charcoal metalic stripe on her Black 2012 R/T.  What do you guys think? I figured you would know what a flat black stripe looks like, below is a pic of a swatch of the dark charcoal metalic stripe.  I also added a pic of the grill she had installed since it might play into your decision. Since this is a daily driver she would like to be somewhat subtle.  Thanks for your responses.

Are you just doing the hood?

If so, the dark charcoal works... But if you plan some side stripes, I'm going to have to think about it a little more.

No side stripes just the hood and the trunk I believe.

Black on black wouldn't look too good. I'd go with the dark charcoal!

 Flat black would look good but not gloss!! Now you can get material to overlay that looks just like carbon fiber I saw that being put on a new camaro and it looked friggin sweet!!

I would probably go for the charcoal stripes.  I was out looking for red Challengers earlier this year, but at the 1:00 minute mark in video, you get a nice side-by-side comparison of two black Challengers.  One with the grey / silver SRT stripes on black and the other with no stripes on black.  I'm thinking your charcoal stripes are similar (if not the same?) color as the factory grey / silver SRT stripes?  In any case, should give a fair idea of what they look like side by side...

Thanks for all your opinions it is appreciated.  It seems the charcoal is by far the favorite.  That was my choice also.  When she gets the stripes I will post a few pics.  I think she is leaning towards the charcoal also.

I wanted to update this thread, my wife decided not to go with the stripes but go with an exhaust upgrade.  She likes the sound of the Dynomax Ultra Flow SS mufflers and eliminate the resonators in the back.  she spoke to a few people that have done this and they like the results.

Well she can still get the stripes they can be painted on or a decal.Not that expensive for the decals the would be the way to go .Stripe kits by gary on here can hook you all up i am sure.
And you can have kenny and his partner put them on for you if you dont want to tackle it.

Maybe I can have the stripes put on the car for her on the sly.  I'll let Kenny know if I decide to pull the truigger on it.  I just need to be absolutely sure what hse wants

Personally, I like the black on black, kind of a ghost image. I have seen them and they look sweet. I ordered my 13 with black on black, but it defaults back to silver. The dealership is changing them to flat black. When they finish, I'm going to do the strobes in flat black down the side. I'm kinda conservative, I think thats why I like the b/b
