    I imagine there are more new records since they paved the road almost to the top.
    Pikes Peak 14,115 ft.  19 miles from toll gate.......to top. 
    The partial pressure of oxygen is only 60%of that at sea level.
    My wife and I have driven to the top on 2 previous vacations.  Yes, you get very light headed..altitude sickness.
