Removing converible windshield trim...

I am starting to tear down my car to being working on it finally.

The stainless trim around the wind shield seems to be attached with some sort of adhesive as well as the screws. Screws are all out and I can get some movement but I am afraid of bending the trim pieces by trying too hard.

Is the adhesive normal? Will a heat gun be ok to use on this to loosen the stuff up, or is there a better way?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The windshield sealer is usually the reason that the trim is stuck once you have removed the screws. A putty knife, or single edge razor blade will cut the sealer.  Or you can use a heat gun.  Just pry lightly so you do not bend the trim.

67vertman, that was pretty much the culprit. Once I got one side upright molding off the rest sort of fell into line.

Unfortunately I did crack the glass....  win some, lose some.
