Which mopar color for my 72 cuda with tan interior??
« on: August 20, 2012 - 02:02:15 PM »
Ordered as a 72 cuda 340 4 speed, until concerned father called dealer to change order to 318 auto.
It is honeydew color, with tan/gold interior.

Want to repaint anything buy honeydew again, but I am unsure of what color.
Thought about Tawny gold and spinnaker white, but there are few cudas in that color.  Anybody have any pics to share of either color?  Any suggestions? Don't want to change interior color, as I like it NOT being black.  Rare that way.

I thought of spinnaker white with matte gold colored (mopar gold) original 72 stripes

Tips or suggestions.
Thanks.

I would go with Burnt Orange or Rallye Red.

Thanks for the suggestions so far.
I am not a fan of the blue or black suggestion.  Black is dead, and hides all the curves of the cuda.
Blue looks too GM or Ford when I see one.

burnt orange seems good.  I love the color bahama yellow too.

Nobody like the Spinnaker suggestion?
Anyone seen one before?

I had a 72 Cougar Convertible that was white with the brown 'saddle' leather interior.  Awesome looking color combo.  Not sure what color stripes would look best on the white and still tie into the interior color?  Could just go black stripes.  I'm a big fan of burnt orange myself, but don't believe its an original 72 color where the white is if that matters (it does to me a little).  My 73 Barracuda is a very rare 73 only color, Mist Green with white top, white stripes & white interior.  Its not the raciest looking color combo, but I won't see another like it at virtually any Mopar show.  Gets a lot of positive comments, many/most from the ladies.  Mine was ordered by a lady who owned it until just before I bought it.

Chestnut on Sassy grass isn't so bad.
Close to tan anyway.

The spinnaker white has earth tones in it that would match the interior.  Don't think a bright white would work.  I always liked the gold stripes on the white Hurst Olds 442s.

Autoblog has a gallery of modern Hurst Challenger in white with gold stripes, and the color combination also works for me on that car.

I think there is a 1971 Imperial color GB9, a really dark blue.  that would look great with a tan interior!
