Tail Panel Trim For '73 'Cuda.
« on: February 21, 2005 - 11:30:39 AM »
Hey all, in my continuing adventure for parts for the '73 'Cuda I'm having problems finding the tail panel trim.
Just need the left side. (see pic)
There is a "restored" set on e-bay, but kinda pricey.

Thanks
Jeff

Rats, board keeps eating part of my post.
Anyway, does anyone re-pop these? Or am I stuck with tracking down an original set?
Thanks
Jeff

Repros will be out in late spring (supposedly).  I will make a post about it when I find out.  I have been awaiting the arrival of them as well.   :newsad:

4drbrnko,
You are also missing those BIG old bumper guards.  :grinyes: Most people hate them, but I think they look OK. You can also put on the smaller chrome ones from 70-72.

Yep I needed those same 3 pieces when I was restoring the hardtop!  Couldn't find them anywhere so I deleted them and painted it!  But like MEK said, you can install either the big bumper guards or the chrome ones.  I choose the chrome ones!!

I know, I like the smaller chrome ones, just haven't researched what it will take to do the switch yet.
I would just do a chrome delete on the tail panel, but I like the look of it back there.
With the Ralley mirrors (chrome) and the rocker panel chrome(also still need...  :gripe: ) with black on black it should look pretty cool.
I'm still planning on getting a set of hood inserts chromed as well. for when I feel like being really flashy.  :ack:
kinda like these:

I am sorry for jacking the thread :angelwings: but do you need anything special to swap the 70-71 chrome bumperets to a 73 bumper, or will they bolt right on? :clueless:

I would love to buy new trim pieces for my cuda once they are available! :bananasmi

I found the center part new on ebay. I think Year One has it too for around $225. Luckily my outer right and left are perfect. I've seen just the outer pieces go for as high as $500.00 and more for nice ones!!! :scared:
