    Thanks! I just love those old SCCA Racers.. so going for the AAR theme was a nobrainer. The color is acutally a Nissan color called Apple Pearl Green.

    The first day at the track is over, with VERY mixed emotions. Good is that the car work, it handles beautifully, no drama, predictable, give good feedback. I can drive it real fast. The bad or terrible news is that my brother chrashed his beautiful 69 Mustang Fastback after half a lap :( Something broke in the car in front of him, dropping oil or coolant on the track. In an instant my brothers car is sideway with no grip on any tire and chrashed into the railing. Luckily he did not get any injuries, but I'm so hartbroken for him. But the car is rebuildable, but it need a new front, hood and fenders along with radiator, coolers and such.

    He want to try to enjoy the rest of the weekend and have some laps in the 'Cuda. I really admire his spirits!

    I'll post some pictures and film of my car for you after the weekend.

    The weekend didn't go as planed, so I didn't get any video or any laptimes or G-numbers or anything.. But here is a picture of me on the track. The car was really nice to drive, very safe feeling to it, no over or understeer, just really dug into the corners. I'm really happy about the suspension, and the brakes are amazing! And I even won 1st price for best American car! 8)

    That Muzzie is a runner too :bigsmile:



    BTW .............I hope you dont mind me stealing your idea ,

    with backing the car over the camera great way to check things whilst running :cheers:

    Thanks! it's a track thats called Arctic Circle Raceway in Norway.
    The video was actually filmed by my brother standing in the greasepit.

    It's pretty rough. But it will be fixed. Got it covered by incurrance. He's doing a full resto now. Will be back better than ever! He'll post some pictures.

    Man, real sorry about your brother's car.  At least he didn't get hurt, could have been real worse. 

    Great video!  Love to see old cars on the track!  Great handling!  I only had my car around the block once and just doing a corner at 15mph the car felt sooooo sloppy!  Gotta ditch the 14" rims one day!  :o

    Thanks for the symphaty. So, here they are, because  :useless:


    At the track where I stopped.


    Ditto.


    My skidmarks and the impact on the armco. I spun out, rotated ca 100 degrees and hit the armco. The car was then recoiled out and according to the driver behind me a 1/2 to 1 meter in the air. I then did a 360 degree spin in the sandtrap and a 180 on  the tarmac before I rolled to a halt on the other side of the road.


    Crashsite as seen from ontop the salvage truck. There was a lot for oil on the track all the way down the hill and I spun out where the two people is standing.

    The shocktower bracing did a good job stopping the impact. I also belive the subframe connectors helped resist body twist. I also have a X brace under the car between the subframe connectors.





    It's only metal. I'm now hard at work on  :ebay:

    I know '69 was a unique front end but I wonder if '68 Mustang parts will fit?  Could make a fiberglass '68 Shelby front end...  :2cents:  Would lighten up the front end.  A '69 Shelby front end woud be too much $$$.....
