Thanks, I did a quick search. It looks like AEM makes a clamp on O2 bung...you still have to drill a hole in the exhaust though.  I was really hoping for an option that didn't involve any permanent modifications to the exhaust.  It's a good idea though.  Maybe I can fit a short section of pipe in there.  I'll have to crawl under the car and look

Hey thanks for that link to Innovative.  They do make a tail pipe clamp but reading around their kits seem to get low ratings.  I did a bit more research and it turns out FAST makes a tailpipe unit as well.  In the end I decided to go with the FAST option.

Now I'll just have to figure out how to use it :)  Another interesting skill to pick up

Did you find poor ratings for all their stuff? I was thinking of buying their permanent unit. Do you remember where you found the bad reviews?

I was looking mostly at "kits"  a Sensor, tuner unit, wiring all in one package.  Most of the reviews I found were similar to this kit on amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Innovate-Motorsports-3806-Digital-Wideband/product-reviews/B001QFL8KE/ref=cm_cr_dp_see_all_btm?ie=UTF8&showViewpoints=1&sortBy=bySubmissionDateDescending

Also some reviews I found had negative things to say about the Bosch O2 which the innovative kits come with (although they might be rebranded).

Lots of great info here. I have the autometer version, have the bung/sensor all installed for my new engine.

it really isn't a modification! just have a hole drilled and  just have the bung/bungs welded in.

We have very different ideas of what modification is then :)  Anything that can't be easily undone is a modification which I have no desire to do.  I should be fine just removing the exhaust tip, mounting the tail pipe clamp and running it for a while, then removing it and putting the tip back on. No permanent changes, no drilling or welding.

Just so you know... the autometer kit that I got has a plug you can screw in place of the O2 sensor?

Yeah the kit I have has a plug too.  Doesn't make a difference to me. :)  I don't like modifying stuff that I can't put back.  Sure if I was going to put a new exhaust on it, I'd probably have it set for wideband O2, but then I'd still have the old exhaust to bolt back on if I needed it.
