Funny my 73 does have it & the hole in the fender (probly a 72 fender or the previous owner(s) added it The 74 has none & no hole  :(
But then again, I welded up all the body side moulding holes on the 73, so I guess you never know!
Funny (well not really) story bout holes, Ron(old body guy) was helpin me do the patches on the front frame rail, there was one bracket bolt hole near the work I had blue marker on it so we could see it & not to weld it, well Ron started doing the spot welds & continued right on to that hole, so it's now solid metal!  :banghead: Rich.

From the time I had my 440 SIXPACK CONVERTIBLE, there has always been just one on the passenger side front fender. Thats the way my 440 R/T is now too.

I have seen a couple passenger side Challenger fenders with no holes for the Pentastar now, in both cases the cars had been in accidents when fairly new, and the over the counter replacement fenders did not always have the holes punched for the Pentastar.

T/Ake care,
Barry

My challenger did have the hole but it was all original sheet metal. When the car was repainted the body shop took it off and filled the holes in with filler. You can see the big hole with the smaller one on top. Needless to say I fixed that problem when I restore the car.

I think the early ones were metal, but the later years were plastic.

My 85 Shelby Charger had a pentastar decal on the passanger side ground effect behind the front tire.

Not sure if it came that way from the plant but it looked OE. I've never seen it on any other turbo 2.2's.
