Sounds tasty.  Got alot out there huh?

Josh, in the last 2 months, I have seen over 2 dozen bears in Northern Canada, There is no shortage, While in Fort Mac Murray, a very large male black bear came into the maintenace shop, and cruised right into our break room.  Then started eating all of our lunches. The next day we grilled bear, elk and moose at the plant. I got a few cell phone vids I took filming some bears last week, I was only 40 ft away or less.

That's alot of bears.

Eating your lunch in the plant.  Wow!
They must be very used to humans and noise!

I get them on my deck from time to time. Ten or fifteen years ago, the Ontario government thought it would be a good idea to eliminate the spring bear hunt. The bear population is high, moose population is down, and you need to be a little more careful when out picking blueberries.....you can come face to face with a hungry bear.

Last week we were camping at Arrowhead Provincial Park and came across a black bear while hiking on one of the trails.  A few years ago the cops had to shoot one here in Barrie! Ya cancelling the bear hunt... great idea!....NOT! ::)

I spent the weekend at the race track  2 days of racing... lots of canage! Spent a day working on the Challenger too!  :2thumbs:

Went to the farm for the weekend. Drank un-godly amounts of beer with my old college buddies. Shooting, beer, and swimming. Boy, summer can be good!

There's lots of bears around Banff. The crazy tourists get out of their cars to feed them and take pictures. That's just nuts. They're wild and can turn on you at any moment.

Farmers around practice what's called the 3 "S's" .... shoot, shovel, shut up. More than a few calves have been taken by bears.

4 days up at Lake Almanor. 5 hours north of me near Mt. Lassen.

Fires were just going out as we showed up. We saw their base camp on the other side of the Lake. These guys work for their money!

On Saturday, another fire started at Lake Shasta area.
Sounds like they'll be busy for a while.

Also a photo I took of a Butterfly while we were getting refreshments.

My wife and I got my Dad a cake for his birthday this weekend.  We didn't want to risk a kitchen fire with 70 candles and we could not find a pre-made candle with the correct number.  We ended up getting a "30" candle and a "40" candle and everyone just had to do the math.  lol

We all had a good time.

Loaded up the kids and the car and went racing with a bunch of friends(Hemmings Musclepalooza)
Had problems with my fuel system, second time trial and could hear and feel the car lean out on top end.went from 7 pounds of pressure and it fell off to 3 pounds.Changed out the regulator and it bounced back up to 7 again and went and ran first round in the gamblers race but had it lean out again on top end and had to shut it down(back down to 4 pounds)
Car was being a PIA but me and the kids still had an awsome time.

Looks like the south shore of Almanor.... oh the memories of pulling many a trout out of there.
