I golf about as often as you Dave. Up here I call it "Whack - F^&*". Every time I whack the ball, I see where it goes and I think, F%^&!

 Scott,on the second hole there's these million dollars houses ont he right side of the fairway and sure enough i slice it right and next then you here is bang of the roof,i go taken my mulligen, tee up another ball and this time slice it worst than the first time and lower and i'm waiting to here a window smash  :22yikes:  got lucky and must have missed it.we start walking up the fairway and the owner was outside checking over his house.didn't say anything so everything must have been kosher. wheeeeeeeeew.
i was about to give er up after that but after a couple more holes and sticking to a 3 wood i started to straighting em out and had a great time, was a little  :drunk: by the time we were done
ended up shooting a 120 .   :faint:
i don't get serious about it,i just go to have a good time.

  Dave............

Dave,

120? That sounds like my miniature golf score.   :o

I only golfed 2 times in my life. I can hit the heck out of the ball, but I have a serious slice. For every 100 yards the ball goes forward, it also slices 50 yards to the right.   :banghead:  Needless to say, most of my time was NOT spent on the fairway.   :bricks1:

Looks like the south shore of Almanor.... oh the memories of pulling many a trout out of there.

Good times...

Country Club Peninsula.  :cooldancing:

Trout were biting good the last day I was there. I caught one but I'm trolling too fast I think.
I need a kicker motor then I'll get my limits.

He doesn't look 70!  :2thumbs:

Thanks.

A lot of people ask me where I came from.

My mother is a Bible thumping CPA.

And I grew up on a wheat farm in Kansas.

Just thought I would update this.
My first bear 250 lbs. Shot at 25 yards. Double lunged.  Dead in 30 yards.

Working every day except Sunday. Isn't that what your supposed to do on Labor Day, labor?

It's opening day for Archery Bear season!

I get one day to hopefully shoot a bear at close range!

Makes my stomach growl just thinking about it.

You need to come up here and take a few! There are so many around since they cancelled the bear hunt!  ::)

so, I am unsure what the socialist's think about hunting?
I would assume(typical American) that if you have enough money you can do anything.

Sounds like our socialist dems.
Our Spring bear season has been cut in most states.
Now suddenly and surprisingly, there is a bear problem every spring.
No fear of humans or their trash.

They're still yummy.

Bear, They're still yummy.

I would presume they're pretty greasy/fatty?
I like Elk. Duck, and any wild fish myself.

All depends on how you cook and prepare it.
So far, the little bit I have eaten has not been greasy and has really tasted good.
I was told that the bear will stink to high heaven also.
When I was skinning and gutting, he did not smell near as bad as any deer I have ever taken.

I use the ice water method of preparing my meat before consumption.
This removes lots of the blood.
Slow cooking will remove the extra fat in the meat.

Honestly, my wife thinks that bear meat is the best meat she has ever tasted.
She has only eaten the meat from one of my old hunting friends and he knows how to prep and cook it pretty good.
Now I have to learn the tricks of cooking bear meat myself.

Try diluted Milk to get rid of the gamey flavor if you want to mellow it out a little bit.
