Well, this just started happening.  I have nice bright dash lights when the parking lights are on.  Until this evening, when I turn the headlights on, they dim a bit (seemed like a feature, since the dash lights don't need to be as bright when it's dark out).  This evening, when I went from parking lights to headlights, the dash lights went dark.

I haven't dug into this yet.  Its probably either a ground problem or a switch problem.  I'm hoping someone else ran across this and solved it by fixing ______?

I didn't have the exact same problem, but last year I had my dash lights go dark while driving at night. The cause was the infamous dimmer switch. :2cents:

Thanks for the data point.     I double checked the dimmer switch, and it works fine with running lights only.  But with headlights, they go out completely.

I've been pouring over the wiring diagram.  Right now, I suspect it's the either internal to the headlight switch, or the connector on the headlight switch.

But I've had enough for the night.

Thanks again!

Dash lights is likely the panel dimmer switch or perhaps a bad ground.
Indicators staying on is probably a ground issue, perhaps at the body to fixture or it may be your emergency flasher is on with bad flasher
