70 Challenger RT/SE
« on: September 02, 2012 - 01:29:48 AM »
I'am new to this site and lucky enough to have two 70 Challengers, one was my late fathers a 70 RT/SE 383 auto.  This car he picked up for a song $400.00 ten years ago.  The car was in an collision in 74 and parked in a old shed.  The original owner kept the motors and trans as part of the deal, or he was going to cut up the car. The motor had a replacement tag from 1971, the original motor had rod let go.  It seems this guy had lost control one night and put her into a tree, which came down onto the roof. Now I need to replace the roof, right inner fender, rad support.  The second one is a 70 SE 383 auto, no motor or trans. I purchased it a year ago for $1400.00.  After paying for the car it arrived home 1 hour later at midnight missing the VIN Tag, Fender Tag, Grill and Ralley hood.  When I went back 6:00 am the next morning the guy was gone, moved.  Now the SE is a donor car.  One question I have is how many RT/SE came in the Dark Green colour, if any one knows pls let me know, if its a rare colour I may keep it stock. Also would any one know where I could get a motor warranty tag.  Photos to follow.

Sounds like a couple of cool cars. To bad about the 70 being in a wreck.

Can't wait to see pictures.  :clapping:
