I got it from Ben per your recomendation, not exactly whay I expected but it will work.

Just so everyone knows ALOT of them parts on the car are from Dave, highly recommend getting stuff from him. Great to work with and he knows what he's talking about. He can even find you parts when your lost in Michigan out for a drive   :2thumbs:

Is it the direct fit trans? Or did you modify the tunnel?

I had to modify the tunnel slightly. Not to big of a deal when the car is stripped anyway.

Ya it ended up being one of those projects that the further you get into it the worse it was. But after starting it where do you stop and say it isn't worth it  :eek7: might as well keep going.

If I would have known the car was in as bad shape as it was we would have never started it. But we bought it as a rolling shell that was in primer, work done by a body shop. Well I can't believe any shop would do the kinds of things that were done to that car, it was a real hack job. But it is nice to save it and know it isn't going to scrap.

Dont beat your self up to much,

I am right in the middle of the same thing I am at the partial assembly point(70 GC barracua)

and yes if I would have known I would have tried to find a more solid car....so goes the quote"I will fix it as i go along" and as you found out ,

and I did too I found more than I bargained

for your pics remind me of our Barracuda I have had the car since 99,

the more we cut away the more of the tin worm we found :swear: :22yikes:

and the TME (time, money, energy) set in,but your car looks awesome and keeps me inspired :2thumbs: :2thumbs: :2thumbs:

More progress made, another huge step done. Let me say that that Hemi with the power steering mounted just fits up between the frame rails, were are talking like 1/8" on each side. Think the designers got lucky when it fit...... :drunk:

Dave my son thanks you for the hat  :ylsuper:
