I haven't been on this board long so I don't know much about the build on this car other than what I have seen in this thread. However, the word "WOW!" does come to mind. What a huge project it apparently turned out to be. I can't believe how much major metal work had to go into this build. You had to literally "back-half" the car and then some. You are obviously a master metal worker (a skill that I highly admire and wish I had). But it looks like you have a very capable assistant on the build - Dave your son. Early in the thread he looks a little overwhelmed by the project, but later as it is coming together he definitely looks more enthused! Hard to find good help like that (I have all girls).
Thanks for the comments, having my helper makes 1/2 the fun really. Bought the car about 6 months before he was born, he just turned 5 in December so yea a long project. Ongoing joke was we would have it done about the time that he got his drivers license. He enjoys helping as long as you keep a power tool in his hand, go figure. Yesterday he was playing with the lathe, not may 5 year olds can say that. It is actually a 3 generation project, my dad, my son and my self, one of those things that will be with you forever. Hopefully a lot more projects to come.
Hope to have the dash complete and in this weekend, will get up some more pictures then.
